Each set is arranged in commonly needed topics and each topic is supported by its own worksheets.
The top page displays all the topics. By selecting topic the user is taken to one or more pages of vocabulary relevant to that topic.
Vocabulary in the earlier sets is helping the user to move to higher levels.

CALLtalk was created by Sally Millar of the CALL Centre and Janet Larcher, Independent Consultant and co-author of the Ingfield Dynamic Vocabularies. CALLTalk is particularly suitable for Primary age children with severe communication difficulties but relatively good cognitive levels. These children are expected to learn to construct sentences and, ultimately read and write in mainstream schools. It may be found useful also by other types of users and with some modifications also by adults. Use in the educational context and emerging literacy are emphasised within its structure.
More about CALLtalk and its features you will find from Call Centre website.
Assistant can be used with one or more Symbol for Windows databases, among others: PCS, Bliss, Beta and Pictogram. These databases can be shared with SfW applications too.
Assistant is a fully flexible AAC tool for professionals. That also means that you can build and customise user vocabulary excatly the way needed. E.g. the user you have in mind needs to be introduced to the idea of alternative communication by using photos only. Some users really like video footage with sound taken from home so you can use them too. Almost any multimedia, graphics or sound material in Windows standard file format can be used in Assistant.
The next step would be to use symbols alone or together with multimedia material. You can import video clips, photos and clipart graphics to Assistant using its Item Importer. (Camtasia)
Symbols can be either import using Item Importer or they can be accessed directly by using Symbol for Windows databases (Libraries).
